You are an important part of our history, and our community! Did you know, that if you live in the Pennsylvania Furnace area, you are automatically a member of the Community Hall Association?
That's right!! The Baileyville Community Hall Association was established in 1933 and the By Laws state that “membership of this Association shall consist of every member of the community…”
The Board of Directors meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Hall. You are welcome to join us!
Although rental fees keep the Hall functioning, we rely on donations to help us make improvements and repairs to the facilities. Your support is appreciated. Checks can be made payable to BCHA (Baileyville Community Hall Association) and mailed to PO Box 43, Pennsylvania Furnace, PA 16865.

“Uncovering the Iron Furnaces at Pennsylvania Furnace” By Robert Hazelton

Interested in learning how Pennsylvania Furnace got its name? Want to learn more about local history and the Iron Furnaces? Join the Centre County Historical Society on Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. for a presentation by local historian, Bob Hazelton at the Centre Furnace Mansion. Bob will be focusing on the work being done to uncover the Pennsylvania Iron Ore Furnaces on Johnson Road plus ongoing exploration on what seems to be a railroad spur that served the site from the nearby rail line that Andrew Carnegie added to reach Pennsylvania Furnace, and then Scotia in 1880.
This is not something you want to miss!
Wednesdays from 6:00 - 6:45 pm
This is a low intensity workout focused on maintaining effort and heart rate using aerobic exercise, functional movements, free weights, balance and flexibility. We will also focus on tightening those core muscles using a chair! Chairs are provided. Please bring 1-2 LB free weights and a water bottle. This class is appropriate for a wide range of fitness levels.
Cost is $4.00 per class, pay as you go or purchase a Punch card. You can join at any time.
